1 lb Angus steak or boneless beef tip (cubed)
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 c Red and green peppers
1 c Chicken broth or water
2 tsp Jerky Seasoning (see bottom)
1 tsp creole seasoning (see bottom)
1 tsp salt and crushed black pepper
1/8 tsp honey
1 cup butter
1 T oil
Yellow rice… Use Mahatma!
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak. Cook without stirring for 3 minutes. Gently turn into the pan until all sides are golden brown, about 7-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Season the shrimp with Jerk & Creole seasonings. Mix well. The color should start to turn red. Add the butter to the pan, then add the shrimp. Cook 1 min on each side. Add the honey. Cook 1 min more. Remove. The shrimp will finish cooking in the last step.
In the same skillet, add the peppers. Cook for 3 minutes or until softened. Stir frequently to avoid burning. Add steak and shrimp. Toss to combine.
Add the broth/water and all other seasonings. Lower the heat to Med Low and simmer to enhance the flavor. Serve over white or yellow rice. Sprinkle with green onions, black pepper, and/or cilantro.
