Super Simple, Super Spicy Mongolian Beef


1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 pound beef flank steak, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon peanut oil
2 large green onions, thinly sliced


In a bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, red pepper
flakes, garlic, and sugar. Put the beef into the marinade then
mix to fully coat, cover the marinated beef and keep it in the
fridge for 1 hour to overnight.

Heat a big non-stick skillet or wok with peanut oil over high heat.

Put in the green onions and stir-fry for 5-10 seconds before
adding in the marinated beef. Cook and stir the beef for about 5
minutes until the beef meat starts to brown and is no longer pink
in color.
